Day 3: Gifberge

This morning started with a brisk walk in town, 06:30am. Afterwards the best baked slash scrambled eggs ever, and then back to the workshop. RSG chatting and singing in the background.

A light breeze is breezing away today, wonderful weather for this time of the year and much more work-friendly than the first day of hotness......

Gifberge. About 30km drive from van Rynsdorp, what a beaut of a mountain. Took pictures at the special romantic waterfall - a round hole in a rock -roof, where the water falls from, so you can see the sky from underneath. I also saw white Bougainvillea for the first time.....one of my favourite plants, and I've learnt that they need little water to grow....oops, I think I've drowned one outside my workshop.....!

Does anyone know what Geocashe is? So interesting and fun - you can join this group on the internet. People are all travellers and hikers, and there are Geocashe spots all over the country. (See pics of the small box hidden in the rock.) You can find these spots with specific GPS locations on the internet, and if you are in a Geocashe spot, you can go look for the "treasure box". People can take something in the box, and replace it with any other object. There are also a book in the box, so you can write the date and your play-name in. Inside the box were a plastic toy,  swarovsky crystal (not the real deal!) a coin, amongst other things. It doesn't matter you leave in the box, the fun part is in finding the treasure and wondering who was there before you.......!

Then, a bit more work on my handbag, which is almost done, and then we had the most amazing dinner of calamari, curried baby marrows (my new favourite dish!) some rice with a lentil sauce, and tomato and onion salad, just lovely.
